Tell me about allergens!

The allergens for our pre-order products are detailed on each product listing but please be aware that we work in a kitchen that handles gluten / egg / milk / soya / nuts / peanuts / sesame / celery / mustard / sulphur dioxide daily so cannot guarantee the absence of these allergens in our products.

Are you offering deliveries for Christmas preorders?

Yes - we will be offering local deliveries for whole cakes/tarts on Tuesday 23rd Dec.

Deliveries will be made between 11am-5pm - if you know you will be out please leave a safe place for us to put your order, and let us know where that will be by leaving a delivery note at the checkout.
We will be unable to return to your address if we are unable to deliver your order and your order will be returned to one of our shops for you to collect on Wednesday 24th Dec.

Christmas Eve collection preorders - where and when do I collect?

Collections on Wednesday 24th Dec are between 10:30am and 11:30am from both our Southside and West End shops.
Please make sure you select the correct shop in the checkout!

Christmas Eve preorders - will I be able to pickup pastries with my cake/tart order too?

We're afraid not - our shops will only be open for an hour between 10:30-11:30am on Weds 24th Dec for the collection of preordered cakes, tarts and desserts.

Both shops will be open Weds 17th Dec to Tues 23rd Dec (including Mon 22nd and Tues 23rd) and will be fully stocked with bread and pastries for you to buy for the festive period.

Will you be offering New Year preorders?

Sorry, not this year! But both our shops will be open on Sunday 28th December for your Big Bear fix in between Christmas and NY

Are your shops open over Christmas and New Year?

Our shops will be open for general sale, without the need for a preorder on: Open Weds 17th - Tues 23rd (including the Mon 22nd and Tues 23rd when we're normally closed!!) Closed Weds 24th - Sat 27th Dec Open Sun 28th Closed Mon 29th Dec - Sat 3rd Jan Open as normal Sun 4th Jan

Info on reheating / freezing pastries for Christmas..

All our pastries crisp back up perfectly in the oven and the majority of them freeze and reheat really well too.

Almond Croissants / Nutella Cookie Dough Croissants / Croissant Knots / Bostock:
Reheat instructions: reheat for 6-8 mins at 160C (fan)

Croissants:
Reheat instructions: reheat for 4-5mins at 160C (fan).

Pastel de Nata:
Reheat instructions: reheat for 6-8 minutes at 200C (fan)

Danish:
Reheat instructions: reheat for 7-8 mins at 160C (fan). We do not recommend freezing this product

Cinnamon buns:
Reheat for 45secs in the microwave or 2-3mins at 160C (fan)

Sourdough bread:
Freezing instructions: slice before freezing and toast from frozen.

Brookies are best served from fridge.
Freezing instructions: freeze on day of purchase, remove from freezer + transfer to fridge on day you’d like to eat - allow a couple of hours to defrost
General freezing instructions: if freezing, freeze on day of purchase then remove from freezer to thaw the evening before you’d like to eat and follow instructions above for reheating.

At the moment, pre-orders are for collection or delivery on Fridays only. For delivery, there’s a minimum spend and we only deliver locally - check the FAQs above for full details. Allergens are listed on a per-product basis, but our kitchen handles many of ‘em, so again, check the FAQs!
